Purim is the festival which commemorates the deliverance of the Jews of the Persian Empire from a plot to destroy them.  It is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar.  We will have Shabbat services followed by a Purim play performed by our Sunday school students.  Please support their expression of learning.Potluck.  We look forward to you joining with us at a potluck lunch.  Please bring salads or entrees, fruits or homemade hamantashen. We will provide beverages.Hamantatashen.  We will provide Hamantashen (courtesy of Icing On The Cake).  Please contact Icing on the Cake (808-823-1210) if you would like to order some for your home or to send to others in the tradition of shalach manos (lit. sending out portions).Shalach Manos. Giving to charity or to needy people is part of the tradition on Purim.  We encourage you to bring a few extra can goods for the Loaves and Fishes Food Outreach or a monetary donation made to JCK for us to pass on to the Kauai Food Bank.Cost.
